Most of the time we look past ourselves in matters such as ‘forsaking wrath’, and if we use the term anger we can’t look at ourselves even though we are the ones angry.
“Rest in יהוה, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man doing wicked devices. Abstain from displeasure, and forsake wrath; Do not fret, also to do evil. For evil-doers are cut off; But those who wait on יהוה, They shall inherit the earth”. (Psalms 37:7-9).
We do not want to hear that. What we do not want to hear is wait patiently, nor, do we want to rest. Well this type of rest has nothing to do with laying down and taking stuff, however, what it does have to do with is taking matters into our own hands. How do we know? We look at the term displeasure and note that the tendency towards that has been stirred by emotion by what we see.
