This is most likely the beginning of my book. Most likely because until now everything I write has benefited you. How? Because to give without gaining anything from it is the Way. Scripture is plain for us that we are to give, and also explains that when we give it will be given back, that is, given back pressed down, shaken together and overflowing. However, until this year I did not have it in me (anything in me) to give like that.
October 21 is my birth date, and until today I have never experienced joy. Today is joyful because I have the chance to know my father. In fact, about 2 years ago my heart started yearning for him. I was raised by my mother and stepfather from birth so this story is important for women who have to make a choice to choose your baby daddy or the man who is more settled because daddy’s life is not stable.
As you look around the rooms of your mind and remember I would like for you to consider the choice. Not in the now but looking to future to ask —what if?
This is so awesome and painful I can hardly bear it. My daddy loves me and has been looking for me over 40 years, and I have answered prayer to my desire. Does anyone understand this? Do you understand what we do to our children when we do not acknowledge their father?
My father was a famous man, a lead singer in the group THE MASQUERADERS. I didn’t know that at first, but I understand now that my father wanted to marry my mother. I am his first born, and he told me he wrote Call Me the Traveling Man when he was 17 years old–him singing. To my surprise, it was that same age that I was conceived. He loved my mother and wanted to marry her but she made her choice knowing the consequences of her decision.
Today is really special and when my father called me today (as he does daily) to tell me happy birthday —my heart is filled with joy. You probably cannot understand but I believe Yahuah!
Thank you for all the well wishes for my day—I am fine. In deepest regard,
Kayla J. Dailey
