Do you know the law concerning your rights as an employee pertaining  to accommodation and religious or spiritual beliefs?

The Equal Employment
Opportunity Commission (EEOC), enforces the law on your behalf.

The Civil Service Reform Act of 1978 (CSRA), and Section 1981 of the Civil Rights Act of 1866.

For the sake of equal rights, your religious freedom and belief thereof are first priority with the employer as soon as you:

1) voice your belief, and

2) put that belief in writing.

A definitive view of a belief about religion says, “a religious creed or faith”. (i.e., Hebrew, Christian, Muslim).

The EEOC gives this view as well about religious accommodation saying, “Religious Discrimination & Reasonable Accommodation. The law requires an employer or other covered entity to reasonably accommodate an employee’s religious beliefs or practices, unless doing so would cause more than a minimal burden on the operations of the employer’s business. This means an employer may be required to make reasonable adjustments to the work environment that will allow an employee to practice his or her religion.Examples of some common religious accommodations include flexible scheduling, voluntary shift substitutions or swaps, job reassignments, and modifications to workplace policies or practices.”

Of course, one must consider their motive and the fact that many employers already provide accommodation for those of the Christian belief, allowing those to go to work after the service.

Can the So Called Righteous Prevail in Prayer? Really?

Today’s rally for the “Adopt a Terrorist for Prayer” movement seems comparative to time travel; where a step back reveals hippy

land where the old song “I’d like to Teach the World to Sing” comes to mind, and is now replaced by a request for the world to pray in one harmonious tune.

What is Adopt a Terrorist for Prayer Movement? The approach is really a free for all prayer session, non-restrictive and prochoice for all who wish to participate. Conversely, in this “prayer meeting” there is a chance for all people to work together quietly and peaceably to stop terrorism.

Dr. Bruce Thomas, in the article, “Fighting Terrorism Is Like Fighting Addiction” says, “When under the influence of alcohol, the abuser of his wife and children thinks he is doing right things to manage his household. Likewise, when under the influence of certain doctrines, suicide bombers think they are taking proper steps to defend Islam. An alcoholic’s drunken tirades terrorize a family into appeasement and cooperation. An alcoholic’s drunken driving threatens a whole community. Similarly, inflammatory rhetoric from a terrorist or a sympathizing cleric intimidates peaceful Muslims into passivity and compliance. Actions resulting from this rhetoric threaten the world.”

Send terrorism to detox through prayer? If nothing else is working it could be worth a try. Certainly, no one will hold a gun to one’s head if they choose not to act; in prayer that is.

Gun Control and Lobbyists

right to carrySpecial interest groups, also known as “Advocacy groups” carry much weight in the political area. Take advocates of gun control which is a big issue across the board in America where many seek to do away with gun play even in hunting. There are mixed feelings with regard to who has a right to carry and some feel that their rights might be violated.

In the article, “Special-interest groups–In the cross-hairs,” the The National Rifle Association lobby to protect such rights in the political area siting their 1st Amendment right to carry and bear arms are violated with new or pending policy changes where guns are concerned saying, “Thirty years ago, the NRA was principally an organisation for hunters and sports-shooters. Lobbying against gun-control laws was a rare activity, since there were few such laws about. (The NRA’s then president, General Franklin Orth, testified before Congress in the 1960s in support of a gun-control measure: a bill banning mail-order gun sales after the Kennedy assassination.) Since the mid-1970s, though, the NRA has increasingly focused its supposed 3.6m members and its $137m annual budget on two political objectives: helping to elect pro-gun-rights candidates, and then lobbying to ensure that they keep the faith when gun-control laws are mooted in Congress. According to the Centre for Responsive Politics, which tracks the impact of political donations, the NRA has given nearly $8.8m since 1991 directly to parties and individual candidates. It has shelled out many times that sum on indirect lobbying. Four-fifths of this money goes to Republicans; and it has been Republicans in Congress who have mainly been responsible, in one way or another, for blocking gun-control laws.”

The above information from even one group is huge and conveys truth while answering the question if special interest groups can ‘buy’ an elected official I can say with great confidence that it is most probable and likely that this is taking place. Hence, it is the case that media time can be bought as well. Yes, there is a great influence here.

In recent activities where President Obama went against the senate to establish stiffer penalties for our gun- toting counter parts he was hit with heavy resistance. I agree that it is fair that those who own guns be put on a tight leash, and while this might not seem fair to respectable law abiding citizens; the consequences of carrying should not outweigh or weigh as much as some who are carrying guns elsewhere. Hence, today, whether on the street or in the office mental illness runs deep in America. Hence, One nation, one gun law for all.

Those against guns feel the sting of them in their neighborhoods. Four years later, a family still suffers from a gunman who shot and killed a young girl and her grandmother during her birthday party.

The article, “Man gets death sentence for killing 2 at Fort Worth birthday party”, gives this account:

“Erick Davila was forgiven by the victims’ family after Friday’s sentencing.

Davila, 21, did not react when his death sentence was read Friday in the courtroom of state District Judge Sharen Wilson. The jury that convicted Davila last week of capital murder deliberated about seven hours over two days before deciding his punishment.

He was convicted of fatally shooting Annette Stevenson, 48, and Queshawn Stevenson, 5, in April during a children’s birthday party. Four other people, including three children, were wounded.

Davila was a member of a Fort Worth street gang, and authorities believe Annette Stevenson’s adult son, Jerry Stevenson, may have been his intended target in retaliation for a prior gang-related incident in which Davila was wounded. Jerry Stevenson was unhurt during Davila’s shooting rampage, which occurred at Annette Stevenson’s East Fort Worth home.” (Dennis, 2009).

This event happened just four blocks from my home and I say money cannot buy common sense. This is what advocacy with special interest groups; such as, guns and other issues should fight to win.

Tax Payers, Is Your Cry Misplaced?

In Washington, a reports says teen sex and pregnancies are at an all-time high, and educators blame a new program which promotes encourages it. “A 150 percent increase in teen pregnancy rates over the past decade has led more high schools to eliminate “Fuck Your Brains Out,” a national sexual education program that encourages adolescents to have sex frequently and with as many partners as possible, sources confirmed Thursday.”“A 150 percent increase in teen pregnancy rates over the past decade has led more high schools to eliminate “*uck Your Brains Out,” a national sexual education program that encourages adolescents to have sex frequently and with as many partners as possible, sources confirmed Thursday.” (The Onion, 2013).I believe to answer the question “Are talk radio shows a good thing or a bad thing? Why?” one needs only to open their eyes to issues like the aforementioned data to see that any form of media outlet is well-founded in choosing to report on our nation’s youth being led astray.

I missed this. Probably because my attention was focused on grown people and their lustful behavior being supported by the government which claims to trust God. That trust is definitely fallacious, and misplaced when it is invested in programs which further degrade the most precious to us; that is, our children. “

I find it absolutely appalling that people can grip about tax dollars being used on federally funded programs where the majority of people in low economic status can live or at least survive; yet, there is no highlight where tax dollars are spent in this area. Absolutely appalling, and I ask who is hardest hit. Here we see programs supported which help house, feed, and pay utilities for low income, predominantly single parent homes; which include teen moms who in all likelihood may participate in such a program portrayed here. Whose fault is that?

I believe broadcasts such as television or in for the money. I ask, how is it that this type behavior was not exposed nationally or played up more as it is with gay and lesbian marriage by the media. Moreover, America faces a severe moral judgment in promoting such idolatrous behavior; it is destructive. In the broad view of this issue I say yes, because at least the public has a say and can listen while in the car and are mindful more mindful of the happenings out in the communities where they live.

Consequently, America is a morally corrupt nation but has claims with trust in God, and to further shed light here one can see laws where prostitution is illegal but yet they fund free for all sex among the young. In prostitution there is expected risk of HIV and AIDS being prevalent, but no one expects that their children are subject to these type of ideals calling that class.

On the college level more solicitation of promiscuity is at hand:

In the article, “‘Sugar Daddy’ Billboard Near UCLA Offends Students, Neighbors” further degradation of impressionable minds is seen when neighborhoods are infiltrated with lust and thoughts of sex portrayed as a means to make money for the summer. This is another form of prostitution, but under the guise of getting paid as/like a job and it’s all legal. It is not illegal to take your clothes off, but it is illegal to sell your body, but they both go hand in hand in clubs such as topless bars and other gathering places which promote sex.

Futuristic Analysis for War on Drugs Proves Positive for Drug Users in Texas

drug testIt’s been a long time coming to stop the rampant drug use which devastates the public welfare system in Texas; and to thwart it Senate gives thumbs up for Drug Testing for Temporary Aid to Needy Families.

TANF, as the program is known became effective July 1, 1997 to replace Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) program, which had been in effect since 1935.

The problem is not with the program itself; although many tax payers are of the mind that some are abusing the program and with good reason. As past years dictate, changes were brought forth by former President Bill Clinton who gave a time limit of 5 years for those who received the help. Notably, many who were eligible were thus so for years under old law.

According to statistics, the new more effective program, provides poor people with money for food, clothing, housing and other basic needs, distributes about $90 million to more than 100,000 Texans annually. The amount of the payment depends on family size and income.

One would be tempted to believe that the goal of the testing would be more concerned with people’s drug usage, rather than people not working. It is the premise that unless people can stop drug use they might not be fit to work. However, this is not the idea of the testing with regards to those who get aid.

According to a quote by Bill sponsor Sen. Jane Nelson, R-Flower Mound, stating, “”Taxpayer money should not be used to subsidize someone’s drug habit,” and she states further, “”We’re not only going to help them get off drugs, “We’re going to help them get a job.”

With this thought in mind; that is, many people on drugs will be homeless, hungry, and most certainly increased employment efforts.

Consequently, a brief glimpse at crime rise; as well as, more people entering treatment facilities and shelters across the region.

It could be really a taxing situation all around.

Your SundayBread: The Curses of True Israel

the sword of the Hebrews

The Great Revelation of who the blacks in America really are and notation of how the land of Israel was taken from them because of idol worship which still prevails in the Christian teachings of the day.

Deuteronomy 28, denotes the curses which are the result of disobedience to the Laws found in the Book of Moses (Torah).

Yahweh is calling us back. Come from among them, that is the world of idol worship.

Today it is not uncommon for fathers to struggle with no support when the mother is absent; it is not the case anymore that women are the ones left with the burden of single parenthood.

Just ask any single parent who, for whatever reason has the misfortune of raising children alone and you will hear a resounding chime as they tell you it gets hard, but what can be done?
According to the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, a partnership with 8 Tarrant County Constables has led to 22 arrests for failure to pay their child support. In the August Press Release entitled, “Tarrant County Constables Conduct Child Support Roundup,” reports state, “The Tarrant County constables who participated in the initiative are: Pct. 1 Constable Jerry Crowder, Pct. 2 Constable Robert McGinty, Pct. 3 Constable Zane Hilger, Pct. 4 Constable Dub Bransom, Pct. 5 Constable Sergio Deleon, Pct. 6 Constable Joe Kubes, Pct. 7 Constable Clint Burgess and Pct. 8 Constable Chester Luckett.”
The article goes on to state that those arrested were wanted by authorities for failing to meet their obligated payments.
The Attorney General gives a stern warning saying, “Parents who have outstanding warrants can avoid the embarrassment of arrest at their home or work by turning themselves in to the Tarrant County Jail. Parents who have fallen behind on their child support payments – but are not yet subject to warrants for their arrest – should immediately contact the Attorney General’s Child Support Division at (800) 252-8014 to make payment arrangements.”
State and Federal law determines reprimand for each perspective state; hence, in Tarrant County the duty of the Attorney is to serve those families who request service or those who receive public assistance.

Services offered by the Tarrant County Child Support Division are as follows:
• locating absent parents;
• establishing paternity for children born to unmarried parents;
• establishing, enforcing and modifying child and medical support orders;
• and collecting and distributing child support payments.
The report adds, in 2010 parents in the State Texas had paid more than $241,000,000 in support to their children.
