Your Sunday Bread: Holy Ghost Party? I Don’t Think So!

Lupine-Growing-in-Burned-TreeHave you ever seen a fire out of control which is all consuming? On television is the only place I have seen such a fire. These fires spinning out of control concerning a building are called 3 alarms or even four or five alarms and are eventually put out. Conversely, it is when they are put out that we see there is hardly anything left worth salvaging.

How about those wildfires that ravage everything in their wake?  It is the case that while they commence all we can see are flames and smoke. Broadcasters across the nation spin tales of the fiascos which take place of how residents sometimes must be evacuated from homes some costly; especially in California where homeowners are displaced. Solemly, we note their plight, but whatever became of those trees?

Interestingly enough, one can surmise that many of those trees did not survive the fire? One would gather that no living thing could but surprisingly enough many do.

Why am I speaking about trees and fires? Well sister and brothers hang on I am going somewhere.

We have been speaking of the Set Apart Spirit coming and from among the masses. Notably, the Set Apart Spirit and those of us who have been chosen to hear a true word to guide us from the untruths have undergone and still go through a painful experience. It is the case that life is more serious than we first thought. There is new found insight and even to the natural eye things just do not look the same. No, our appearance has not changed, but the way in which we see situations has changed. For me, I view so called blacks totally different than I once did. Now I see hopelessness a people displaced in their thinking.

What has this to do with burnt trees? As much as we would love and do love to believe that the word is Yah is meant to make us all warm, warm fuzzy and cozy inside, when I think of fire I don’t get that image, and knowing what I know now of the Set Apart Spirit it is not a shout-a-thon at the local church. You don’t catch it…you are born into in. How? By immersion and fire.

Look at this: ““I indeed immerse you in water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to bear. He shall immerse you in the Set-apart Spirit and fire.” (Matthew 3:11).

That does not sound like a good old running through the church pew hopping good time. though in the end it will be well with us. In fact. its rather painful. Hence, in light of the coming out process the premise here is not a cover up of sinful behavior but a burning away of it much like the consuming fire of the wild; however, the good news is that those planted are saved. HalleluYah!

” Blessed is the man who shall not walk in the counsel of the wrong, And shall not stand in the path of sinners, And shall not sit in the seat of scoffers, But his delight is in the Torah of יהוה, And he meditates in His Torah day and night. For he shall be as a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That yields its fruit in its season, And whose leaf does not wither, And whatever he does prospers. (Psalms 1:1-3).

In speaking of the trees. I learned that after a tree has been burned in a wildfire to the extent that we see a entire forest in flames some are saved. It’s an awsome wonder.

Here is proof. One article states about the Sequoia tree, “Sillett said full-grown sequoias are adapted to survive even the hottest wildfires. They have fibrous, fire-resistant bark that can grow up to two feet thick. Although fires can damage the biggest trees, they usually don’t kill them.”

Trees are strong and massive, but even the strongest tree can be harmed by a fire. In this, one must wonder why Yah would use a tree to describe a man and a fire to describe the vast testing we endure. Not all go through such testing. Why do not all go through such testing? It is because not all are obedient to the call to come out of idolatry. Fire and water. Water of repentance, and fire of testing in the Set Apart Spirit.

Concerning the Sequoia tree the article adds, “Aging giant sequoia trees are growing faster than ever, with some of the oldest and tallest trees producing more wood, on average, in old age than they did when they were younger.

Maturity is reached which produces more fruit the reasoning behind the Set Apart Spirit is to grow us up. I ask who can survive the fire?

Psalms 66, “For You, O Elohim, have proved us; You have refined us as silver is refined. You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our loins. You have let men ride at our head; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to plenty. ” (v.11, 12).

Doesn’t sound nothing like a Holy Ghost Party does it?

Tax Payers, Is Your Cry Misplaced?

In Washington, a reports says teen sex and pregnancies are at an all-time high, and educators blame a new program which promotes encourages it. “A 150 percent increase in teen pregnancy rates over the past decade has led more high schools to eliminate “Fuck Your Brains Out,” a national sexual education program that encourages adolescents to have sex frequently and with as many partners as possible, sources confirmed Thursday.”“A 150 percent increase in teen pregnancy rates over the past decade has led more high schools to eliminate “*uck Your Brains Out,” a national sexual education program that encourages adolescents to have sex frequently and with as many partners as possible, sources confirmed Thursday.” (The Onion, 2013).I believe to answer the question “Are talk radio shows a good thing or a bad thing? Why?” one needs only to open their eyes to issues like the aforementioned data to see that any form of media outlet is well-founded in choosing to report on our nation’s youth being led astray.

I missed this. Probably because my attention was focused on grown people and their lustful behavior being supported by the government which claims to trust God. That trust is definitely fallacious, and misplaced when it is invested in programs which further degrade the most precious to us; that is, our children. “

I find it absolutely appalling that people can grip about tax dollars being used on federally funded programs where the majority of people in low economic status can live or at least survive; yet, there is no highlight where tax dollars are spent in this area. Absolutely appalling, and I ask who is hardest hit. Here we see programs supported which help house, feed, and pay utilities for low income, predominantly single parent homes; which include teen moms who in all likelihood may participate in such a program portrayed here. Whose fault is that?

I believe broadcasts such as television or in for the money. I ask, how is it that this type behavior was not exposed nationally or played up more as it is with gay and lesbian marriage by the media. Moreover, America faces a severe moral judgment in promoting such idolatrous behavior; it is destructive. In the broad view of this issue I say yes, because at least the public has a say and can listen while in the car and are mindful more mindful of the happenings out in the communities where they live.

Consequently, America is a morally corrupt nation but has claims with trust in God, and to further shed light here one can see laws where prostitution is illegal but yet they fund free for all sex among the young. In prostitution there is expected risk of HIV and AIDS being prevalent, but no one expects that their children are subject to these type of ideals calling that class.

On the college level more solicitation of promiscuity is at hand:

In the article, “‘Sugar Daddy’ Billboard Near UCLA Offends Students, Neighbors” further degradation of impressionable minds is seen when neighborhoods are infiltrated with lust and thoughts of sex portrayed as a means to make money for the summer. This is another form of prostitution, but under the guise of getting paid as/like a job and it’s all legal. It is not illegal to take your clothes off, but it is illegal to sell your body, but they both go hand in hand in clubs such as topless bars and other gathering places which promote sex.

Your Sunday Bread: Narrow is the Gate, Straight is the Way

narrowgate

How many of us really have a firm grasp of truth? We think we do but we don’t, even the greatest scholars and theologians missed this word, why because it has nothing to do with what we think and see but what Yah reveals…when the word says enter the narrow gate, that there are few who find it; it is because few can see it there…why? First of all we have to find it, the narrow gate cannot be found without revelation, because if it were that easy everyone would be there. Secondly,   because of all the “stuff” blocking “The Way.”

Society has conditioned us to believe that if everybody is doing it then it must be ok even in the church. In contrast, society has sold us many things like drugs, alcohol, and sex through movies, and other means and then offers us rehabilitation to recover from them, even in the church a so called rehabilitation center both are worldly. Everybody does those things and they are going the wrong way.

However, this picture is bigger than drugs, alcohol and sex .

It’s what we see, similar to following the highway and having to pay attentions to signs and while driving you and a friend are into a deep conversation and while the exit to the narrow gate looms just ahead, somehow we don’t see because we have gotten off into this deep conversation about something else.

Let’s talk about the broad gate…our friends are there, church members, family and a host of others going down the same road…how do we know those people are there on the same path…well, if we go to the same church most likely we are hanging around with people who are like us…we listen to the word from a preacher, go to church on Sunday and probably eat at each other’s houses. Those in the same income bracket hang with those in the same. While the poorer are friends with their friends that probably aren’t good for them but because those people in the church are nonsocial able this is what happens, the members sleep with other members married are not, the deacons are stealing…all types of stuff is available on the broad road…the preachers are carted off to jail….everybody’s doing it, the narrow gate…happens when you start to wonder and ask God does he really want you living like that…this is church Yah we say, what is the problem?

Furthermore, why would the Yahshua have this conversation with believers in the first place if they were following “The Way?” Remember he said “Ye are the salt of the earth but if the salt loses its flavor it is good for nothing?” So, what happened then that Yahshua, had to say this if they were on the narrow path? Some weren’t you see, and he had to warn them that there are wolves in sheep’s clothing come to steal them.

The Way to the narrow path is not Christianity and here is why, we must broaden our thinking past the small individual happenings in our own lives.  The whole world believes the faith of Christianity. Notably, there are people being converted to believe in the name of Jesus  more than any other religion on the planet. Somebody says that is proof that we are on the right path…well, no it’s not. It says much about persuasion and the need for people to fit in and be like everyone else. There are people sitting in church from Sunday to Sunday who are not saved. How do we know…look at the rate of deliverance and the behavior in the church. People look, think, and act just like the unsaved.

Look at this:

According to the article, “Christianity Today – General Statistics and Facts of Christianity.” Mary Fairchild states, “Christianity is ranked the largest religion in the world today. According to the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, in 2010 there were 2.18 billion Christians around the world, nearly a third of the global population.”  Conversely, when we look at scripture the narrow gate doesn’t seem likely to be found by the masses of the population. When we look at the term “find it” we note that this is something that isn’t so easily accepted.

The Pew Forum on Public Religion & Public Life gives this estimate:

“More than one-quarter of American adults (28%) have left the faith in which they were raised in favor of another religion – or no religion at all. If change in affiliation from one type of Protestantism to another is included, 44% of adults have either switched religious affiliation, moved from being unaffiliated with any religion to being affiliated with a particular faith, or dropped any connection to a specific religious tradition altogether.”

In a way this one would seem that there is something that Christianity is lacking being that the practice of it is so much like the world. It is problematic when people cannot see a difference why would they stay?

Fairchild gives a breakdown of those who practice Christianity worldwide, the Top 3 Largest National Christian Populations:

  • US – 246,780,000 (79.5% of the Population)
  • Brazil – 175,770,000 (90.2% of the Population)
  • Mexico – 107,780,000 (95% of the Population):

Conversely, if the thinking is to find the narrow gate; the question becomes whether the masses hold the key to finding it. Isn’t this more like the broad road; rather than the narrow gate leading to life?

Let’s look at the text,

Luke 17:

11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

One came back to give Yah praise, and that one was not associate with Christianity. Notably, he was one those in Christianity would consider least likely. What happened to the others? They went on their way to follow the masses. Narrow is the gate those who praise Yah in spirit and truth will find the narrow gate.

According to Pew,  “The survey finds that the number of people who say they are unaffiliated with any particular faith today (16.1%) is more than double the number who say they were not affiliated with any particular religion as children. Among Americans ages 18-29, one-in-four say they are not currently affiliated with any particular religion.”

Note:  No religion doesn’t equal no belief or faith.

People are evoking their right to choose; even in Religion. Considering our finding, the narrow gate isn’t found in the Masses. People are finding the narrow gate their own way with revelation for the Most High. There is hope.

Forms of Law and their implications

Dark blue: Common law jurisdictions. Light blu...

Dark blue: Common law jurisdictions. Light blue: Jurisdictions with mixed systems using elements of common law (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Pember and Calvert (2013) discuss “Common Law” and define it to be as old as America dating back to the Anglo-Saxon era and is adopted or fashioned after British Law, and became common law to distinguish it from ecclesiastical law found in the church. Hence, the law was used to settle matter of the people according to their customs. Common law is inductive which says that court decisions and rules are established by what has happened before. Also, in this particular setting are found a judge and jury.  (p.2, 3. Para. 1, 3).

Similarly, American courts today are supported by this same common law and its standard where “Precedents” from prior cases are used to establish credibility in certain court cases.  For example, the infamous “Roe v Wade” case is used in many cases where women might be denied rights concerning their bodies in abortion issues to establish a precedent. The role of establishing a precedent does not stop there it infiltrates many other venues of law and those who find themselves at the mercy of the court. Murder is a huge issue where bout establishing precedent would be used. (i.e. Mass Murder, Rape, etc.). For the journalist who would write a story concerning either of the crimes mentioned, the notion that there has been a previous case to draw from can help them refresh their public’s  memory of a particular high profile case. For a reporter, storytelling is key and in turn keeps the public morale up; also sells papers if people are being kept abreast of these occurrences.

In “Equity Law” litigants are awarded damages and can apply for restraining orders. At first glance of this law I am reminded of Judge Joe Brown where people sue for damages and have the burden of proof; however, I would rather go with a civil suit like domestic violence where there could be damages accrued, pay for those awarded, and/or a restraining order granted to the victim. Although, many domestic violence cases are handle by a District Attorney; monetary awards can be sought in a civil type setting.

Pember & Calvert (2013) states, “The rules, and procedures under equity are far more flexible than those under common law. Equity begins where common law leaves off. Equity suits are never tried before a jury, and ruling come in the form of judicial decrees, not in judgments of yes or no.” Hence, the judge decides the outcome and makes the ruling on these types of cases.

As stated before, in this particular case there might be some sort of altercation where a boyfriend damages property by hitting a woman’s car with a bat and shatters the windshield. Also, he could have punched her and she needed to be seen by a dentist or see a physician for a bruising which has resulted in medical and dental bills. In most of this type cases the judge sets the standard of protection in the restraining order. All this I see as Equity Law. I think that it is up to the journalist to make these type of stories subject specific because the of the prevalence of these type issue; especially among stars who are seen publicly. Notably, the journalists’ job should also be to seek out ways to inform the public of how the case is handled instead of making the occurrence seem glamorous; if a black eye can be seen glamorous.

Finally, “Constitutional Law” where again, “Roe v Wade” case is used in many cases where women might be denied rights concerning their bodies. These rights recognized as “Inalienable Rights” in which the 1st Amendment to the United States Constitution says all men are entitled to the right of “Life, liberty and pursuit of happiness”. I argued this point in the gay marriage issue a while ago and was met with a barrage of insults and comments because of the biblical aspect; however, I continue to support gay rights or any other civil rights issue because for the government “belief in God” has nothing to do with “life, liberty and pursuit of happiness” no matter how morally wrong it might seem to someone else.

The text gives a description of the law saying, “Constitutions tend to be short, and, at the federal level and in most states, infrequently, amended.” (Pembert and Calvert, 2013, p.11. Para.2)

I believe journalists sometimes have to become teachers through all these; generally, reporting fact and truth that makes sense.

Suspicious Package Causes Evacuation in Fort Worth

A United States Post Office was the subject of Breaking News when a package was spotted in the front parking area,  evacuation for further inspection of the package was authorized.

It was around 10 a.m. when the report about a lone box sitting in the middle of the parking lot at 4600 E. Rosedale Street in Fort Worth and authorities were dispatched to the scene.

Several investigators were called in to inspect the package as insurety precautions.

CNN DFW reported, “Postal Inspector Amanda McMurray told KRLD NewsRadio 1080, “A box has been left out front of the Polytechnic Station in Fort Worth. Right now we don’t have any reason to believe that the parcel itself is dangerous, however out of an abundance of caution postal inspectors and [the] Fort Worth bomb squad are on site.”

Other Expert Investigators included:

  • Chopper 11
  • A Bomb Detection Robot
  • Bomb Squad Unit

Notably, today’s scare is not the first of it’s kind at this particular Postal Branch where reports tell of two more packages found in less than 2 months.

Fire Department Officials announced that 2 months ago they got reports of suspicious packages at that same branch.
